Astral Divinity

The name’s Nova (He/They, 20+ years old), and I just kinda fuck around on here while wandering through the cosmos. Not only is this website my archive for all the art I've ever made, but I will also use this as a normal blog that gets updated every now and then. I got a LOT of interests that I can (and will) talk about for extensive paragraphs, so if you're into seeing that sorta thing, you've come to the right place!

If you wanna drop me a message, scroll down a bit and feel free to do so in the guestbook ! I’m autistic, so please use some simple tone indicators ( /s, /j, etc.) where appropriate to help me understand you.

About

🫀 About My Art:

The subject matter in my artwork varies from horror, to action, to mushy ship fanart, all embellished with a dash of surrealism (intensity may vary). I make both original works and also fanart—mostly fanart though—so, you'll never really know what to expect from my next upload! If you wanna stay updated, follow me so that you can keep up with when I post new drawings.

For those who want to commission me for artwork, go to Nova's Artwork in the handy-dandy Void Directory and give the Commissions button a boop, bap, and a bop. I'd be happy to work with you to bring your ideas to life!

🌟 About Me:

I grew up as a self-taught artist for the majority of my life. Kid-me relied on stuff like how-to-draw-manga books and tutorials online that were made by other artists on places like DeviantArt and Tumblr from 2009 to 2018. My friends also helped me out a shit ton too; shoutout to them! I got pretty far with just those resources, but I knew I still had a long way to go still before truly feeling proud of my work. Something didn't click yet, but everything would change once I got into university during Fall 2018

In university, I majored in Studio Art (there was no Illustration major at my campus, so I chose the closest major that involved a lot of drawing). The way my artwork looks now is largely the result of what I learned during my years in a formal art-education setting. Of course, I've also gone through several eras of special interests during my 7 years in university, and those interests have also influenced how I've developed my current style, but the classes I took in university are definitely what taught me how to unify and execute my ideas.

I couldn't be prouder of how far my art has come! Now, not only can I draw really sick ass original art and commissions, but I can also make great fanart that scratches my brain wrinkles! I'd say the years of struggling as a young artist have definitely paid off. I'm looking forward to see how my work develops even further in the future.
